DHL Express to offer US to Hong Kong next day delivery

DHL has launched a new next day delivery service between Hong Kong and the US after opening a new international service centre in the former. The £2.8m 4,500 square metre facility will mean the firm can consolidate shipments before sending them to the DHL Central Asia Hub for the next leg of delivery.
The firm says the new centre will have an inbound capacity of around 50 tons a day and an outbound capacity of roughly 110 tons a day thanks to streamlined processes and advanced technology.

Ken Lee, the managing director at DHL Express Hong Kong, said:

“This significant investment not only shows our continued confidence in Hong Kong’s potential for growth, but also underlines our commitment to helping customers connect to the world.”

The firm has also recently brought in a round-the-world flight, linking Germany, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. This has also been a factor in its being able to offer a 10.30am delivery service from Hong Kong to all major US centres. This comes with a money-back guarantee should the shipment be affected by delays of any kind.
