Ensuring your packages reach the correct recipient

Considering it’s just a matter of getting something from A to B, shipping packages can be remarkably complex. There are all sorts of pitfalls – many of which you wouldn’t have imagined until you experienced them.
For maximum reliability, send your packages with a courier firm. The delivery success rates tend to be higher and there are  a couple of reasons for this. The first is that couriers will often make multiple delivery attempts, meaning even if the recipient is not in the first time, they might be for a second or third visit. The second reason relates to package tracking.

As well as being a means of monitoring where your packages are up to, tracking also ensures courier firms are careful when sorting packages. An error can easily be seen by the sender should they track the package. This means it can be quickly addressed, but knowing this also minimises mistakes in the first place.

Courier companies also demand a signature from the recipient, which can prove very helpful. Sometimes the package is at the right address, but the person awaiting the package doesn’t know where it is. If you have the name of the signatory, this can prove very useful within large offices and the like.
