Ferrari welcomes UPS as new sponsor

UPS has officially confirmed its new sponsorship with Scuderia Ferrari. The multi-year contract is going to see the courier company support one of the world’s leading racing teams with the 2013 F138 car bearing UPS’ shield.

"We are extremely pleased to have UPS on board as our new Partner, as they are one of the most successful and recognized brands worldwide", announced Stefano Domenicali, Team Principal at Scuderia Ferrari, yesterday.

Founded in 1947 in Italy, Scuderia Ferrari is one of the only motorsports teams in the world to hold almost every Formula 1 record and take part in all World Championships since 1950. As its official logistics and shipping sponsor, UPS will be supporting Ferrari’s supply chain processes and provide delivery solutions.

"We are excited to join Ferrari and be a part of their racing organisation. UPS has been involved in motorsports for more than 12 years. (…) Both UPS and Ferrari constantly strive to develop and implement new technologies, using speed and efficiency to go beyond what’s expected", said Christine Owens, UPS senior vice president, communications and brand management.

The Formula 1 World Championship will take place across 19 countries from March to November.
